A 21-year-old corps member serving with Taraba State College, Judith Tsaaior, has emerged the winner of the eleventh version of the Nationwide Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Essay Competitors organised by the African Biblical Management Initiative (ABLI).
Tsaaior, who hails from Benue State, is a graduate of English and Literary Research from Veritas College, Abuja.
The Basic Secretary of the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN), Pastor Samuel Sanusi, disclosed this on the Nationwide Symposium in Abuja. He said that about 200 corps members participated within the essay competitors with the subject “Elevating a New Technology of Transformational Leaders” in June 2024.
Sanusi famous that the competitors has been in existence for over 12 years, including that the BSN had invested about N10 million in it.
He defined that the six finalists had been shortlisted from the 200 entries to defend their essays, stressing that the factors included spoken English, stage of publicity, comportment, and the power to elucidate the subject intimately.
He introduced that Tsaaior scored 172.5 p.c and acquired N400,000, a Holy Bible, administration books, and a scholarship. Davina Williams, who’s serving in Rivers State, got here second with a rating of 172 and acquired N300,000, a Holy Bible, administration books, and a scholarship.
The third-place winner additionally acquired a scholarship, whereas the remaining three finalists acquired financial awards.
