No fewer than 83 graduates of the Redeemer’s College, Ede, Osun State bagged First Class because the establishment held its sixteenth convocation ceremony on Thursday.
In his tackle on the College Auditorium, the Vice-Chancellor of the faith-based establishment, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele disclosed that the varsity graduated a complete of 1,055 of its undergraduate college students, with 83 of them within the First Class class.
Akindele added that 435 of the graduates have been within the Second Class Higher Division, 319 within the Second Class Decrease Division and 86 within the Third Class class.
He mentioned, “13 college students are graduating with a Move Diploma. Within the Nursing and Physiotherapy programmes, three college students are graduating with Move with Distinction.
“Within the Diploma Class, three graduates are within the Distinction class,14 are within the Higher Credit score Division, and 5 within the Decrease Credit score Division.
“On the postgraduate stage, a complete of 387 college students graduated immediately. Thirty-three of them are at PhD stage, three at MPhil. stage, 215 at Masters stage, and 137 and postgraduate diploma stage.
“Two very distinctive options of this 12 months’s convocation are that it’s the first time the college is graduating college students in Structure, Electrical/Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and two college students from similar division are tied as the most effective general graduating college students with a Cumulative Grade Level Common (CGPA) of 4.96.

The VC urged the graduates to be brokers, ambassadors of hope and leaders with a imaginative and prescient for a greater future.

In the meantime, the college honoured two Nigerians – Mr Tolulope Babatunde Adewusi,a businessman and entrepreneur, the Chairman and CEO of TG Marchnata Enterprises (TGM Schooling) and Government One Capital and Mrs Grace Olufunmilayo Tamuno, an achieved educational and librarian, who served as the primary College Librarian of the Redeemer’s College professional bono – with award of honorary diploma.
