The College of Uyo (UNIUYO) is ready to have a good time a significant milestone with its twenty ninth and thirtieth mixed convocation ceremony, scheduled for November Sep 11, 2024.
The occasion will see 174 excellent college students obtain first-class honors levels, a testomony to the college’s dedication to tutorial excellence.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, in a press convention on the College’s major campus in Uyo on Tuesday introduced that the mixed convocation will characteristic 12,450 graduands, comprising Postgraduate Diploma Recipients: 1,167, First-Diploma Holders and 10,835, Diploma Recipients: 411 and 37 Certificates.
Notably, 56 college students from the 2020/2021 session and 118 from the 2021/2022 session will obtain first-class levels, demonstrating the college’s dedication to nurturing high expertise.
The Vice Chancellor additionally used the event to unveil three distinguished Nigerians – Chief Effiong Daniel Afiakurue, Mrs. Halima Suleiman Zakaria, and Dr. Itanwan Ita James – listed for honorary levels in recognition of their contributions.
Whereas celebrating these achievements, Prof. Ndaeyo acknowledged the establishment’s challenges, together with safety threats, insufficient funding, and manpower shortages.
