The Motion for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) on Wednesday declared that Friday’s nationwide election of Ohanaeze Ndigbo could be peaceable, free, and honest.
In a press release signed by its nationwide chief, Uchenna Madu, the group acknowledged that the Igbo was dedicated to making sure a clean transition in Ohanaeze Ndigbo, including that nothing must be finished to change the method.
It acknowledged that it was poised to offer help to make sure a stage enjoying floor for all delegates and candidates to the election.
Madu mentioned: “In our devoted and unflinching loyalty to Ndigbo and Ohanaeze Ndigbo management, MASSOB have put up all the mandatory preparations to make it possible for the election processes are clean.
“As it’s the flip of the Igbo-speaking individuals of Rivers state, each eligible elder statesman, revered and non partisan particular person of Igbo extraction from Rivers state is certified to contest for the workplace of the President Common of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
“No contestant is exempted, eliminated, or disqualified by the outsiders, exterior pressures, or sponsored brokers of blackmailers, it’s solely the Ohanaeze Ndigbo screening committee that can do such.”
Madu reaffirmed that the previous IGP, Mike Okiro is an indigenous citizen of Rivers State and a real son of Rivers State, including that “All his profession as a public servant is from the quota of Rivers state.
“As a contestant, he’s eminently certified to contest for the workplace of President Common of Ohanaeze Ndigbo except the screening committee disqualifies him.”
MASSOB warned sponsored troublemakers to remain off the election venue or face the results.
