The Kwara State Authorities has warned proprietors of teaching centres to cease poaching college students from public colleges beneath the pretext of making ready them for the Senior Secondary Certificates Examination.
Mr Saka Yusuf, the Government Director of the Company for Mass Schooling, gave the warning in an announcement issued by the Press Secretary, Rasheedat Anigilaje, on Wednesday in Ilorin.
Yusuf cautioned such teaching centres participating within the practices of penalties.
He expressed displeasure that, regardless of ongoing sensitisation and advocacy efforts by the company, many teaching centres continued to flout laws by poaching college students.
Yusuf warned that this might derail the scholars’ training and jeopardise their future.
He, due to this fact, urged these concerned to desist instantly or be ready to face extreme penalties.
”Henceforth, teaching centres shouldn’t take college students from colleges and register them as standard college students.
“This observe is in direct violation of the state’s training ordinance.
”Proprietors should help moderately than undermine the federal government’s efforts to enhance training requirements in Kwara State,” Yusuf stated.
