The Kebbi State Police Command has reported the invention of over 200 suspected unlawful immigrants dwelling in a three-bedroom flat within the Kuwait space of Birnin Kebbi. In a press release on Wednesday, the command’s spokesman, Nafiu Abubakar, revealed that 165 of the suspects have been arrested, whereas the remainder managed to flee.
The arrests adopted an intelligence-led operation on January 31, 2025, at roughly 5 p.m., after safety operatives uncovered the massive group dwelling within the flat. In accordance with Abubakar, preliminary investigations indicated that the immigrants have been from a number of Francophone West African nations.
