In a landmark transfer to safeguard Nigeria’s cultural belongings, the Nationwide Fee for Museums and Monuments (NCMM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IGA Nigeria Restricted.
The settlement goals to develop a structured Cultural Heritage Path Framework that will improve the preservation and promotion of the nation’s wealthy cultural heritage.
The pact was signed by the Director-Common of the NCMM, Olugbile Holloway, and the CEO of IGA Nigeria Restricted, Mogbolahan Ajala.
The partnership underscores a shared dedication to making a sustainable strategy for heritage administration by integrating IGA’s Stakeholder Name to Motion framework into the overview and replace of Nigeria’s Nationwide Tentative Listing.
The collaboration would initially deal with the Southwestern states – Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo – leveraging IGA’s present consultancy engagements in these areas. Lagos and Osun will function the pilot places, setting the stage for a broader nationwide rollout.
In the course of the signing, Holloway highlighted the significance of the partnership, saying: “This MoU marks a big step in our efforts to protect Nigeria’s cultural heritage for future generations whereas selling accountable and sustainable tourism.”
