The Nationwide Broadcasting Fee (NBC) has banned the protest tune Inform Your Papa by veteran rapper Eedris Abdulkareem from being performed on radio and tv throughout Nigeria.
The ban was introduced in a memo dated Wednesday, April 9, 2025, and signed by the Fee’s Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi.
Based on the NBC, the monitor was flagged for holding “objectionable” lyrics that violate the foundations of accountable broadcasting.
“The Nationwide Broadcasting Fee has recognized the tune ‘Inform Your Papa’ by Eedris Abdulkareem, presently trending on social media, as content material deemed inappropriate for broadcast on account of its objectionable nature,” the memo said.
