Shaboozey relishes CMA nominations, sympathises with Beyoncé

Nigerian-American musician, Collins Obinna Chibueze, popularly generally known as Shaboozey, has relished bagging two nominations on the 2024 Nation Music Awards.

Shaboozey was nominated within the New Artist of the Yr class, whereas the hit chart-topping tune, ‘Tipsy (A Bar Music)’ was nominated within the Single of the Yr class.

Celebrating his achievement in an announcement on X on Monday, Shaboozey stated he sang about profitable a CMA in 2016.

He wrote, “Wrote a tune about profitable a CMA in 2016, and now I’m nominated for two! Thanks @CountryMusic and congrats to the opposite nominees. What an honor could be an understatement. #CMAawards”

In the meantime, Shaboozey has paid tribute to Beyoncé who obtained zero nominations on the 2024 Nation Music Awards, for “opening a door” for Black nation musicians.

He famous that Beyoncé’s nation album ‘Cowboy Cater’ is without doubt one of the most progressive nation albums of all time.

He wrote, “That goes with out saying. Thanks @Beyonce for opening a door for us, beginning a dialog, and giving us some of the progressive nation albums of all time!”

Shaboozey has beforehand revealed that working with Beyoncé on her nation album ‘Cowboy Cater’ modified his life.
