Abia: Legislative Council Leader impeached, suspended

The Chief of Umunneochi Native Authorities Legislative Council, Mrs Obiageri Chukwu has been impeached by her colleagues.

She was impeached and suspended indefinitely on Thursday by the legislators.

Following Mrs Chukwu’s removing, Nwankwo Kingsley Jude Nnamdi was elected because the Chief.

A press launch endorsed by the brand new Council Chief mentioned the modifications had been effected on Thursday, although it didn’t present extra particulars why the previous chief was impeached.

However it named Principal Officers within the Council to incorporate Joel Obumneme Uche (Deputy Chief), Mba David C- (Majority Chief), Mrs Nwafor Charity – (Deputy Majority Chief) and Ofoegbu Chukwubiko (Chief Whip).
