Convener of the Akada Kids’s E-book Competition (ACBF), Mrs Olubunmi Talabi, has disclosed that this 12 months’s version of the competition would give attention to selling literacy in Nigeria.
Talabi, who spoke with reporters in Lagos, stated the sixth version of the competition could be held on October 26.
She defined that the yearly occasion offers a platform for indigenous authors and encourages engagement with youngsters’s books and literature.
She disclosed that this 12 months’s theme: ‘Learn your means,’ underscores the significance of selling literacy and studying tradition amongst youngsters aged 13 and under.
In line with Talabi, the competition goals to encourage younger readers and domesticate a lifelong love of studying via partaking actions and experiences.
She stated: “The Akada Kids’s E-book Competition showcases literary works for a various viewers of kids. Traditionally, most youngsters’s books out there have been imported and featured cultures totally different from our personal.
