The Alex Ekwueme Federal College Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, has confirmed the receipt of ₦193 million in institutional charges from the Nigerian Schooling Mortgage Fund (NELFUND) to cowl the charges of 1,068 college students.
Vice-Chancellor of the college, Prof. Sunday Elom, introduced the discharge of the primary tranche of funds in a letter addressed to NELFUND Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyerr.
With reference quantity AEFUNAI/OVC/03/103/VOL1, the correspondence was dated September 18, 2024.
Titled ‘Acknowledgment of Receipt of First Batch Disbursement of ₦193,377,100.00 Pupil Mortgage to AE-FUNAI,’ the correspondence indicated that the cost lined the institutional charges of 1,068 candidates.
Prof. Elom stated: “I hereby verify that our college acquired cost for 1,068 college students amounting to a complete of ₦193,377,100.00 (100 and ninety-three million, 300 and seventy-seven thousand, 100 naira solely) as 1st batch disbursement underneath the Pupil Mortgage Programme on the ninth of September, 2024.”
