Minister of Business, Commerce and Funding, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, has pressured the necessity for Nigeria to prepared the ground in digital commerce and Africa’s financial progress.
Talking on the sidelines of a current World Commerce Organisation (WTO) mini-ministerial gathering to debate commerce challenges and priorities, she emphasised that Nigeria’s engagements on the World Financial Discussion board (WEF) had been to advance the African Continental Free Commerce Settlement (AfCFTA) and digital commerce. Oduwole revealed that the AfCFTA digital commerce protocols had been finalised and could be ratified subsequent month in Addis Ababa. It will make sure that African companies are strategically positioned to leverage future alternatives.
She added that digital commerce is foundational to Africa’s financial progress technique and that it will assist companies overcome conventional commerce obstacles and join with companions throughout borders.
