The Borno Authorities has disbursed N987m to 7,716 merchants affected by the September 10 flood catastrophe in Maiduguri.
Baba Gujbawu, chairman of the Flood Catastrophe Aid Disbursement Committee, disclosed this on Saturday on the cheque presentation ceremony in Maiduguri.
Mr Gujbawu stated the committee had spent the final two months verifying and distributing reduction objects to affected households in Maiduguri Metropolitan, Jere, and Mafa Native Authorities Areas in addition to to merchants from 9 main markets within the state.
