Political thugs allegedly mobilised by the Ekiti State authorities and authorized luminary, Afe Babalola, SAN, have gathered across the Justice of the Peace Court docket premises, allegedly intimidating these in attendance.
That is as human rights lawyer and activist, Dele Farotimi, arrived on the Justice of the Peace Court docket, the place he faces costs following his detention on the Ekiti Jail.
Farotimi, who was kidnapped from Lagos to Ekiti final week over accusations of cybercrime, appeared in courtroom over a petition filed by Afe Babalola, SAN.
In a press release launched on Tuesday, the Take-It-Again Motion alleged that thugs loyal to Afe Babalola and the Ekiti State authorities have gathered across the courtroom premises, allegedly intimidating these in attendance.

Earlier, The Bureau Newspapers reported that the Federal Excessive Court docket in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Monday granted N50million bail to human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, after the police filed costs towards him over allegations of cybercrime.
Justice Babs O. Kuewumi, presiding over the courtroom on Monday, December 9, 2024, dominated that Farotimi be launched on bail with circumstances that included a N50million surety and a guarantor possessing a landed property of equal worth.
The case, with swimsuit quantity FHC/AD/CR/104/2024, was filed by the Inspector-Normal of Police, alleging cybercrime actions linked to Farotimi.Nevertheless, Justice Kuewumi adjourned the case to January 29, 2025, for additional proceedings.
