Kwa-Thema – The CoE rejected the Gauteng Division of Schooling’s (GDE) request for extra time to pay its excellent debt to the town.
The GDE owes the metro greater than R50m for Part 20 colleges in Ekurhuleni.
The metro stated it might proceed disconnecting electrical energy on the affected colleges.
Involved dad and mom protested the disconnection at some colleges on Monday.
On Tuesday, dad and mom dismissed learners from all Kwa-Thema colleges, chopping the college day brief.
Some colleges have had no electrical energy for weeks, and the dad and mom desire a decision.
Sadly, the metro won’t reconnect the ability.
The affected colleges embody Zimisele, Nkabinde, Muzomsha, Zamani, Ntokozweni and Tlakula.
“The town continues to disconnect all colleges. The disconnected colleges will stay off till the Division of Schooling pays the excellent debt,” added Zweli Dlamini, the metro’s spokesperson.
