Calabar, Nigeria – The Cross River State Chapter of the Affiliation of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Merchandise (ADITOP) has dismissed claims by the Chief Robert Obi-led faction of the Impartial Petroleum Entrepreneurs Affiliation of Nigeria (IPMAN) that Zone 6 Assistant Inspector Normal of Police (AIG), Jonathan Towuru, opposes ADITOP’s operations within the state.
Describing the allegations as baseless, the State Chairman of ADITOP, Apostle Ekpenyong Ayi, said that AIG Towuru neither issued such a directive nor instructed ADITOP to steer clear of depots within the state.
Ayi emphasised that IPMAN lacks the authority to hinder ADITOP’s operations, labelling their actions as futile. “It’s shameful that, of their quest to realize their lustful needs, Obi and his co-travellers stooped so low as to hawk unfounded lies,” he mentioned.
