Enugu Labour Party Chairman Dismisses Suspension

The disaster rocking the Enugu State chapter of the Labour Get together has assumed one other dimension because the state chairman of the get together, Barrister Casmir Uchenna Agbo. has dismissed his purported elimination from workplace, saying that the tenure of his 14-man government committee has been prolonged until one other election is held.

Some leaders of the get together had, on the finish of their assembly, accused the chairman of insubordination, assault on the get together chief, amongst others.

Additionally they introduced the appointment of Chief Kingsley Ugwu to pilot the affairs of the get together pending when the get together holds congress.

However, a press briefing, Agbo insisted that the Dr Julius Abure-led nationwide government committee accredited the reconstitution of the chief committee of the get together in Enugu State.

“Our tenure was prolonged for continuity and efficient management. The nationwide government committee of our nice get together thereby informs INEC that following the expiration of the tenure of the committee members, it has been resolved to evaluation to increase the tenure of the committee members for continuity and for efficient management.”

The get together chairman defined that previous to the extension of their tenure, it had been introduced in some quarters that he, Agbo had been relieved of his place.

In line with him, now that they’ve been reconstituted, they’d strengthen the get together to be sure that members stayed and others that left returned.

He mentioned that the period of bickering and disaster was over within the get together within the state and urged members to not go away the get together.

“We aren’t suspending anyone. I subsequently inform our members that bickering and disaster won’t pay. We’re asking our elected members to not go away the get together that made them.”

Fielding questions from journalists, Agbo mentioned that their governorship candidate within the final gubernatorial election, Barr. Chijoke Edeoga has been requested to not fall to the PDP overtures to return.
