Paul Onuachu scored the successful aim as Southampton defeated Ipswich City 2-1 at Portman Highway.
It was Southampton’s second win of the season.
Onuachu’s worldwide teammate, Joe Aribo, opened the scoring for the Saints within the twenty first minute. It was Aribo’s second league aim of the season for the South Coast membership.
Liam Delap equalised for the hosts one minute after the half-hour mark. Onuachu then netted the winner for Southampton three minutes earlier than the break.
The 30-year-old has now scored twice in 14 league appearances for Ivan Jurić’s facet this season.
