ABUJA – Finnish authorities have charged Simon Ekpa, a Finnish-Nigerian twin citizen and chief of a faction of the Indigenous Folks of Biafra (IPOB), with terrorism and for allegedly inciting violence in southeastern Nigeria by way of social media.
Ekpa was arrested in November 2024 and is at the moment being held in Kylmäkoski Jail.
The Finnish Nationwide Bureau of Investigation (NBI) accuses him of spreading terrorist propaganda on-line, which allegedly led to violent incidents in Nigeria’s South-East area.
