Kano to revive 44 abandoned garment industries

The Kano State Authorities says it’s dedicated to revive all deserted garment clusters initiated by the administration of former governor, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The Commissioner for Native Authorities, Mohammed Tajo-Othman, gave the peace of mind in an interview with the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kano.

Othman, expressed disappointment over the state of the centres throughout the 44 native authorities areas.

He famous that the earlier administration had deserted the mission, which was initially supposed to create jobs and enhance the state’s economic system.

He mentioned that the current administration was decided to revitalise all garment industries throughout the 44 native authorities areas within the state.

The commissioner defined that the aim of the mission was to offer jobs for the youth of Kano and stimulate financial progress.

“The plan is for the industries to supply college uniforms for each private and non-private colleges,” he added.

He expressed confidence with the management of Gov. Abba Kabir-Yusuf that each one the garment industries can be efficiently revived.

The newly deployed commissioner mentioned he was able to hit the bottom working as directed by the governor.

“The governor has directed us to hit the bottom working to make sure that each a part of the state is livable, particularly as we focus efforts towards Kano rural areas ,” he mentioned.

The commissioner additionally reiterated his readiness to work towards extending the dividends of democracy to all components of the state, significantly rural areas.
