The Katsina State Authorities says it’s set for a 30-day sustained safety operations within the 19 bandits’-infested native authorities areas of the state to guard lives and properties.
The Commissioner for Inside Safety and Residence Affairs, Dr Nasir Mu’azu, disclosed this in an announcement on Wednesday in Katsina.
Mr Mu’azu defined that the federal government can be utilising the mixed forces of all the safety companies within the state for the operations.

He stated that the choice to embark on the operation was taken at an expanded safety assembly by the federal government and chiefs of safety companies within the state.
In line with him, the assembly was convened by Gov. Dikko Radda, in a bid to deal with the current the obnoxious surge in bandits’ assaults in some LGAs.
Mr Mu’azu stated, “The affected LGAs embrace: Jibia, Batsari, Safana, Danmusa, Kankia, Faskari, Dandume, Sabuwa, Dutsin-ma, Kurfi, Kankara, Musawa, Matazu, Malumfashi, Danja, Bakori, Funtua, Charanchi and Batagarawa.”
The commissioner stated that the assembly introduced collectively key stakeholders together with members of the State Safety Council, Native Governments Chairmen, District Heads and the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs).
Others, he stated, have been the representatives from the Division of State Providers, vigilance teams, Katsina Group Watch Corps Commanders and the NSCDC.
He revealed that, after intensive deliberations, the assembly unanimously adopted the next resolutions:
“Implementation of a community-based strategy to safety, leveraging native intelligence and participation.

“Launch of a 30-day sustained operation throughout all 19 native authorities areas, utilising the mixed forces of all safety companies to guard lives and properties.
“Activation of a four-tier safety construction established by the Katsina State legislation to galvanise coordinated group primarily based safety operations.
“Empowerment of affected native authorities councils to offer modalities for safety operations, emphasising robust community-based intelligence gathering mechanisms.”
Mr Mu’azu additional stated that the discussion board referred to as on the normal rulers to make use of their platforms to evangelise and pray for peace, unity, and prosperity within the state.
