The Katsina State Neighborhood Watch Corps (CWC), Batsari Command, has arrested Sanusi Bature, a resident of Tsabawa village in Safana Native Authorities Space, for allegedly serving as an informant to bandits terrorise the area.
Bature was accused of aiding the kidnapping of over 50 civilians from neighbouring Surugi neighborhood, against the law for which he reportedly obtained ₦250,000.
In a video posted by Katsina Metropolis Information, Bature admitted to aiding the bandits by offering them with intelligence concerning the motion of safety personnel.
“My identify is Sanusi Bature. I’m from Tsabawa village. I served as an informant to the bandits. They used to name me on the cellphone to ask if the world was safe due to the presence of safety companies,” he confessed.
