Nigeria midfielder Christantus Uche has been handed a three-match ban following his dismissal in Getafe’s 1-0 defeat to Espanyol final weekend.
Uche was proven a pink card within the sixtieth minute of the encounter for stamping on an opponent.
The centre referee initially issued a yellow card however upgraded it to pink after consulting the Video Assistant Referee, VAR.
The 21-year-old approached the centre referee in an aggressive method and needed to be compelled off the pitch by his teammates and a few members of Getafe employees.
It marked the second time he has been despatched off in a league fixture this season.
Uche was not listed for Getafe’s loss to Actual Madrid on Wednesday.
He may also miss the forthcoming matches towards Rayo Vallecano and Valencia.
