The Medical and Dental Consultants’ Affiliation of Nigeria (MDCAN) on the Nnamdi Azikiwe College Instructing Hospital (NAUTH), Awka, has launched into an indefinite strike over exclusion of scientific lecturers from contesting for the place of Vice Chancellor within the establishment.
A press release collectively signed by Dr Victor Modekwe and Dr Sunday Oriji, Chairman and Secretary respectively of MDCAN-NAUTH, introduced the graduation of the strike, on Wednesday in Awka.
The affiliation stated the economic motion entailed the withdrawal of all of the medical/scientific lecturers from the Colleges of Drugs, Fundamental Scientific Sciences and Fundamental Medical Sciences, from all tutorial capabilities.
It stated that the strike was to protest the alleged deliberate exclusion of its members from contesting for the place of Vice-Chancellor at Nnamdi Azikiwe College.
It stated that the emptiness advert indicated that an applicant for the place of Vice-Chancellor should possess a primary diploma, Grasp’s diploma and a PhD.

The affiliation stated that the educational pathway of scientific lecturers in NAU and globally didn’t match into the standards laid down within the emptiness advert.
