Nasarawa APC Chairman Suspended Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Bello, has been suspended by the management of his ward.

The suspension is coming hours after the leaders of the celebration within the state handed a vote of confidence on the chairman in an emergency assembly in Lafia, the state capital.

The chairman of the APC Gayam Ward in Lafia Native Authorities Space of the state, Ibrahim Ilyasu, disclosed this throughout a press briefing in Lafia on Tuesday.

He defined that the suspension of the state APC chairman adopted a unanimous resolution by all of the celebration officers from Gayam Ward, as a result of an alleged breach of Article 21 of the celebration’s structure.

“According to the powers vested in us as ward executives below Article 21 (D) (i)-(iii) of the APC structure, and having consulted broadly with stakeholders throughout the ward, we’ve resolved that you just, Hon. Aliyu Bello, are hereby suspended from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with quick impact.

He alleged that Aliyu Bello was overtly indulging in anti-party actions by selling and campaigning for an aspirant from one other political celebration, which uncovered the celebration to ridicule and disrepute.

“Particularly, we’ve credible proof and experiences that you’ve got overtly promoted and campaigned for a member of one other political celebration, in direct violation of Article 21 (0), (ii), and (vii) which prohibit; partaking in acts that are inclined to convey the celebration into hatred, contempt, ridicule or disrepute.

Ilyasu famous that the suspension of the state chairman of the celebration takes quick impact and urged him to desist from parading himself as a member of the celebration from Gayam Ward.

“Your actions have brought on embarrassment to the celebration, undermined the credibility of
our collective efforts, and represent a severe breach of celebration loyalty and self-discipline.

“We urge you to chorus from parading your self as a member or official of the celebration pending the conclusion of this course of.

The celebration’s Publicity Secretary, Otaru Douglas, had issued an announcement throughout the week to the press alleging a deliberate and sponsored transfer to droop the chairman from the celebration by one of many state’s governorship aspirants.
