Nigerian Physician Dies from Alleged Poisoning by Kinsman in Abia State
A tragic incident has occurred in Nenu, Obingwa Native Authorities Space of Abia State, the place a Nigerian medical physician, recognized as Tony, reportedly died after consuming a drink allegedly laced with poison by his kinsman.
The incident came about on Boxing Day, leaving the neighborhood in shock and mourning.
Prince Agbara, a good friend of the deceased, shared the heartbreaking information on Fb. In response to Agbara, Dr. Tony, who was alive and nicely on Christmas Day, tragically misplaced his life the next day after consuming the poisoned drink.
“That is disheartening. Any person that was alive and wholesome on the twenty fifth, poisoned on the twenty sixth by means of drink and he vomited and that was it, by his kinsman. On noticing that my good friend had died he ran away along with his household,” Agbara wrote in his submit.
Experiences point out that the alleged offender, upon realizing the physician had died, fled the village along with his household.
The incident has sparked outrage amongst locals, with many calling for justice and an intensive investigation into the matter. The authorities are but to launch an official assertion or affirm if efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
