The Nigeria Police Drive has mentioned that its operatives have arrested 5 suspects for trans-border gunrunning and recovered 17 firearms and ammunition.
The Drive Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this recognized in an announcement on Friday mentioned that 5 suspects concerned within the trans-border gunrunning embody; Adamu Noma; Matthew Audu; Andrew Poyi; Aminu Sani and Aminu Talha.
Adejobi mentioned they had been arrested by the operatives of the FID-IRT on November 18, 2024, noting that upon their arrest, search was performed and 10 regionally fabricated Ak-47 rifles, 5 Israeli AK-47 rifles, one revolver pistol, one Pump Motion rifle, 20 rounds of Ak-47 ammunition, and one welding machine for fabrication of rifles.
“These feats, and a number of other extra recorded by police operatives throughout the nation are indications of the steadfastness and dedication of the present police management to decimate and subdue felony actions and insecurity normally within the nation.
