Troops of Operation Protected Haven, OPSH, sustaining the peace in Plateau and environs, have detained two individuals over alleged gunrunning within the state and recovered some weapons from them.
The spokesman for OPSH, Samson Zhakom, disclosed this to newsmen in Jos on Saturday.
Mr Zhakom, a significant, mentioned that the suspected criminals have been caught in Bokkos Native Authorities Space of the state.
The Information Company of Nigeria remembers that troops of OPSH had some days in the past caught and detained 5 alleged gunrunners in Bayameni Neighborhood of Jos North LGA.
”Barely 72 hours in the past, troops caught 5 infamous gunrunners and recovered some computerized weapons with about 6,000 rounds of various rounds of ammunition at Bayameni on Bauchi Street in Jos North LGA.
”We carried out observe up operations in Bokkos City on September 18 and troops busted one other legal syndicate whereas they have been finalising transactions for the sale of arms and ammunition value N5 million.
”The suspects, Matawal Bitrus and Thomas Benedict, have been apprehended at Banana Island Resort, Bokkos,” he mentioned.
