AKURE – In preparation for the Saturday native council election, Ondo State authorities has declared Friday a work-free day.
An announcement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan reads:
“The Native Authorities Election in Ondo State has been scheduled by the Ondo State Impartial Electoral Fee (ODIEC) to carry on Saturday, 18th of January 2025.
“To this finish, the Ondo State Authorities has declared Friday, seventeenth of January, 2025 as Work-Free Day for Public Servants within the State to allow them journey to their numerous communities to train their civic tasks.
“Governor Fortunate Orimisan Aiyedatiwa urges all stakeholders to make sure a free, truthful and peaceable native authorities election throughout the State.”
