The nationwide management of the Peoples Democratic Get together (PDP) has declared the expulsion of Hon. Imo Ugochinyere by the Umuopia/Umukegwu Ward chapter of the PDP in Imo State as null and void and of no impact.
The Nationwide Working Committee (NWC) of the occasion mentioned the purported expulsion shouldn’t be according to the specific provisions of Sections 57 (7) and 59 (3) of the Structure of the PDP (as amended in 2017) and laid down Guidelines of the occasion, the nationwide publicity secretary of PDP, Hon. Ologunagba additionally mentioned, Part 59 (3) of the Structure of the PDP is unambiguous in offering that “However some other provision of this Structure referring to self-discipline, no Government Committee at any stage besides the Nationwide Government Committee shall entertain any query of self-discipline as could relate or concern a member of the Nationwide Government Committee, President, Vice President, Governors, Deputy Governors, Ministers, Ambassadors, Particular Advisers or member of any of the Legislative Homes.”
He mentioned no Ward, Native Authorities and even State chapter of the occasion has the facility to droop, expel or self-discipline a member of the Nationwide Meeting in any type in any respect with out due recourse to the NWC as supplied by the Structure of the PDP.
“The NWC strongly cautions that the PDP is an organized political Get together ruled by strict adherence to the provisions of its Structure and Guidelines and won’t enable any particular person or group at any stage to violate its Structure and Guidelines below any circumstances in any respect.
“The NWC states that Hon. Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu stays a bona-fide member of the PDP with all rights, privileges, recognition, obligations and fees all leaders, vital stakeholders, members and supporters of our Get together in Imo State and the nation to ignore the purported expulsion.
“The NWC calls on all Get together members in Imo State to stay united and proceed to work collectively within the general curiosity of our Get together and the folks,” the assertion said.
