PDP Sets Up Zonal Caretaker C’ttee For South-South

The Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) has arrange a caretaker committee to supervise the social gathering’s affairs within the South-South geo-political zone.

The PDP Nationwide Working Committee (NWC) mentioned the committee’s composition, which is in pursuant to the provisions of the Structure of the PDP (as amended in 2017) will start its work from Monday, March 10, 2025.

Recall that the social gathering management had declared as void a current South-South zonal congress which produced a Dan Orbih-led zonal executives.

The NWC had suspended Orbih because the nationwide vice chairman (South-South), in 2024 for actions and utterances, which weren’t according to PDP’s place forward of the 2024 Edo State governorship election.

Godwin Akpan Udonta; Mrs. Bekewei Ashanti; Idehen Ebomoyi; Dame Vivian Ahanmisi, and Chief Damiete Herbert-Miller (Secretary).

“The South South Zonal Caretaker Committee is to supervise the actions of the Celebration within the Zone for a interval of three month or till when a brand new Zonal Government is elected in accordance with the provisions of the Structure of the PDP.

“The NWC enjoins all Celebration leaders, crucial stakeholders and members of the PDP within the South South Zone to be guided by this and proceed to work collectively within the total curiosity of the Celebration within the Zone,” Ologunagba said.
