Retirees of Chevron Nig Ltd on Tuesday stormed the headquarters of the multi-national oil firm in Lagos, in protest in opposition to what they termed “grievances”.
The retirees who had been noticed carrying placards with totally different inscriptions resembling “We are saying no to dissolution of CNCPFA”, “Chevron cease discrimination in opposition to retirees”, “Nigeria is a sovereign nation: respect our legal guidelines above your insurance policies”, “Chevron, deal with us like different IOCs. Be thoughtful for as soon as!”, and others, took turns to relay their unapproved delay in cost of their pensions, amongst others.
In addition they derided outsourcing of their pension fund, demanding that the IOC clarify to them whether or not it had divested from the nation or not.

One of many placards listed their grievances to incorporate: Breaking Nigerian legislation, disdain for pensioners, non-engagement of PenCon, and frozen pension for many years.
