The Kebbi State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has offered meals and money to 22 households of deceased journalists to enhance their maintenance.
The households of twenty-two deceased members obtained 25kg baggage of rice and N10,000 every.
Based on the state NUJ Chairman, Bello Sarki, the gesture was instituted 10 years in the past and has been sustained by successive councils.

“Inside the final ten years, Kebbi has misplaced 22 journalists in the midst of obligation arising from diseases and different causes,” Sarki mentioned.
Sarki expressed gratitude to particular person donors, organizations, and Governor Nasir Idris for his assist.
The Commissioner for Info and Tradition, Yakubu Birnin Kebbi, recommended the NUJ for its magnanimity and warranted that the federal government would proceed to work harmoniously with journalists.
