Nigeria union of journalists NUJ,Kebbi space Council, on Wednesday held elections in Birnin Kebbi.
The keenly contested elections was carried out following the expiration of the tenure of late Hamza Galadima Zuru and his executives who ran the union for the interval permitted by the union.
On the delegates congress held at NUT home in Birnin Kebbi was hotly contested and received by Bello Sarki from Kebbi tv , the Kebbi tv man polled 64 votes to defeat his opponent confido who polled 30 votes and Abdullahi Musa Yalmo additionally a chairmanship candidate from similar Kebbi tv polled 20 votes.
Equally, Junaidu Sani from fairness FM polled 60 votes and emerged the monetary secretary of the union defeating his opponent from NTA malam Usman who polled 50 votes, others are Abubakar Daking gari who received with 51 votes and emerged the treasurer with a slender margin of fifty votes scored by his opponent Sani Mahuta from Kebbi radio.
The brand new executives had been instantly sworn in with a pledge from them to reposition the state council to fulfill world fashion of journalism .
