Senate on Wednesday at plenary held a valedictory session for Edo Governor, Sen.Monday Okpebholo, who represented Edo -Central underneath the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Mr Okpebholo was a member of the tenth Senate, till his election as Governor of Edo, on Sept. 21, 2024.
Talking on the valedictory session, Sen.Adams Oshiomhole, APC-Edo, described Mr Okpebholo as a humble, resourceful, dedicated and clever man.

“We’re glad that in 30 days, Edo individuals are conscious that there’s a new governor on the town,humble, resourceful, dedicated, clever, few phrases however most motion,” he stated.
Sen. Danjuma Goje (APC-Gombe), described Okpebholo as a person of fine character, sincere and a dedicated Nigerian.
Mr Goje suggested the Edo governor to proceed along with his good traits, including that his good disposition was an incredible asset for the state.
Mr Okpebholo stated his involvements within the legislative session was to drive good governance, particularly in infrastructure growth, safety, training, well being,amongst others.
The governor, who described the plenary as emotional one for him, expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, particularly those that stood by him throughout his marketing campaign interval.
“Distinguished colleagues, that is fairly emotional for me. From the second I joined the tenth Senate in June, 2023.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio urged Edo governor to maintain his legacy of fine works as he carried out his duties in Edo state.
In the meantime, Mr Akpabio has formally declared the Edo Central Senatorial seat vacant, directing the Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Commissioner, INEC to organise a brand new election to fill the vacant seat.
Mr Akpabio made the declarations after a valedictory session for Okpebholo.
