The Transmission Firm of Nigeria (TCN) says it has restored bulk energy provide via its 132 Kilo Volt (KV) Owerri-Ahoada transmission line to the nationwide grid.
Mrs Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s Normal Supervisor, Public Affairs in an announcement in Abuja on Monday stated that the road was linked to the grid on April 11, at about 6 p.m.
Mbah stated that the connection adopted the completion of the reconstruction efforts on the road on account of a vandalisation that induced the collapse of 4 transmission towers.
”With this restoration, the Port Harcourt Electrical energy Distribution Firm (PHEDC) is now in a position to provide electrical energy to Bayelsa and components of Rivers.
”These areas have been experiencing outages since towers 71 to 74 on the transmission line route have been vandalised on March 11,” she stated.
