President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has honoured the legacy of the late Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, the famend designer of the Nigerian flag, by generously donating N30 million to his household.
This gesture reaffirms the federal authorities’s dedication to recognising Akinkunmi’s outstanding contributions to the nation.
The Nationwide Orientation Company’s (NOA) director-general, Lanre Issa Onilu, offered the cheque to the household on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at their Ibadan, Oyo State residence.
Onilu emphasised that the federal government would proceed acknowledging Akinkunmi’s influence and supporting his household.
Earlier, the director common of the Nationwide Orientation Company (NOA) visited the tomb of the late Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi to commiserate together with his household.
He stated, “This gesture is a testomony to the nation’s appreciation for Akinkunmi’s iconic contribution to Nigeria’s id.
