Actions to mark the one-year-in-office celebration of Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, Vice Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande College of Schooling, Oyo, are set to start.
In line with a launch from the college’s spokesman, ‘Wale Adeoye, the occasion will begin on Tuesday, 27 August 2024, with an interdenominational service, commissioning of initiatives, reducing of the anniversary cake, and an anniversary lecture with the theme: “Benchmarking Graduate Output from Nigerian Universities.”
The lecture can be delivered by the twelfth Vice Chancellor of the College of Ibadan, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka.
Actions lined up for Wednesday, 28 August 2024, embody exhibitions and drama performances by the Artistic, Theatre Arts, and Yoruba Language Departments. The grand finale is the finals of the College Sports activities Fiesta, arising on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Adeoye, quoting the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chairman, Planning Committee, Prof. Ibrahim Olatunde Salawu, as saying: “We now have designed the one-year program to thank God and rejoice our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Olaniyan, whose management within the final yr has been of super blessings to our College.
“It guarantees to be historic. The event can be chaired by our Professional-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle, and hosted by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo.”
