Minister of State Petroleum Sources (Gasoline), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, has expressed optimism in regards to the US-Nigeria clear power partnership, stating that it’s going to optimise mutual alternatives for each nations and buyers within the sector.
On the 2-day US-Nigeria Strategic Vitality Safety Dialogue, which led to Washington DC over the weekend, Ekpo emphasised Nigeria’s dedication to leveraging its huge gasoline sources for financial development and power transition. He highlighted the Decade of Gasoline Initiative, which goals to drive industrialisation, scale back power poverty, and place Nigeria as a regional gasoline processing and industrial hub.
In line with an announcement signed by Louis Ibah, Spokesman for the Minister of State Petroleum Sources (Gasoline), on Monday, Ekpo acknowledged the US as a steadfast accomplice in Nigeria’s power sector, providing help and collaboration throughout varied areas.
He burdened the necessity to strengthen ties, working collectively to handle challenges like power safety, local weather resilience, and sustainable growth.
On his half, the US Assistant Secretary of State, Vitality Sources, Geoffrey Pyatt, renewed the US dedication to supporting the US-Nigeria power transition, highlighting varied initiatives, together with:
