The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed issues over the current defection of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai to the Social Democratic Social gathering (SDP), insisting that his exit won’t have an effect on the celebration’s energy within the state.
El-Rufai had on Monday introduced his resignation from the APC, citing dissatisfaction with the celebration’s management and its failure to deal with key issues he had raised.
Nevertheless, in a press release launched by the Kaduna APC Secretary, Yahaya Pate, the celebration maintained that it stays targeted on delivering electoral victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in 2027.
“We’re unperturbed by former Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s defection to a different celebration. Our focus in Kaduna is on find out how to ship the state to each President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani come 2027,” Pate acknowledged.
The event comes amid rising political realignments forward of the subsequent common elections, with opposition events working to type a coalition in opposition to the ruling APC.
