Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Monday, inaugurated an 18-member committee to supervise the second part of the Postgraduate Scholarship Programme.
In an announcement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, it was stated that the initiative goals to help 1,001 first-class graduates to pursue their grasp’s levels in private and non-private universities in Nigeria.
Governor Yusuf, represented by his Chief of Workers, Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, stated the initiative meant to foster educational excellence and encourage the perfect minds amongst youths.
“Once we launched the 1,001 Scholarship Scheme, our imaginative and prescient was to empower Kano’s brightest minds to compete globally, excel of their fields, and produce their experience again residence to drive the progress of our state,” he stated.
